You should submit your CV to Ferrari as TP then, since you know so much.25-01-2023 15:50

In 2022, drivers have been complaining about severe back pain. Now with the elongated schedule, I wonder if this will put more stress on the drivers. The continuous evolution of record breaking seasons by the likes of Senna, Prost, Schumacher and Hamilton were unheard of pre-90s, when the cars were more agitatable and put much stress on the drivers. I don't know if they would have lasted as long as Shumi and Hamilton. This statement from Verstappen may put things into perspective and I'm in favor of keeping F1 in check from having these continuous runaway dynasties. Apologies in advance for offending anyone, but maybe F1 could take a cue from American NFL football, where the regulations are designed to prevent dynasties from emerging. Yes, some dominance from time to time would be great for the sport, but it seems as though F1 has come to a point, with all it's aerodynamic efficiency, where it has been easier for records to be smashed. With the new 2022 formula, I'm hoping for F1's sake, that Verstappen will not win 8 WDC, as much as I admire his racecraft. Just image a whole decade of the same driver winning the WDC. I was a Schumi fan and I got bored after the 4th WDC. I was hardly paying attention to the races because I knew Schumi would just win.12-12-2022 22:19

True or not, these tabloid sources make me chuckle. "Imminent" headlines now turned to "more complicated than expected". Whose their source? The janitor? LOL25-11-2022 20:41

Yah, only the 2 tabloid sources made this claim. No fact-based news source is announcing this. Jean Alesi, who is very close to Ferrari already called BS on this story. But hey, I hardly comment on social media, and they finally got me to come back and comment. Lol. So, great job to get more people commenting. :)25-11-2022 18:18

They've lost several top engineers over the last few years which didn't have much effect on their last car as it had a good baseline. With a completely new formula, save the engines, I think those losses are now showing. This just goes to show you that F1 goes in cycles and the team with the best head start in the design phase will come on top. No team can win indefinitely, and the historical and statistical data have consistently shown that. Then add the effect of constant linear development amongst ALL teams and the top team will remain at or near the top - if team B improves car by "delta", top team A generally improves car by same "delta" or thereabouts. If Team A has good baseline to develop, it becomes 3xDelta more difficult for team B to overcome delta B + delta A + new delta. Then again, this is just the first race of the season. Still, statistically this doesn't bode well for Mercedes. Remember, they almost came in 5th last weekend. That's 5 deltas to overcome. Russel admitted that a solution wouldn't be found until a few races in. Ouch!22-03-2022 21:22

Well, I didn't watch it regularly because it was getting boring. Last year was exciting and also a couple of years where Ferrari took it to the Mercs, but in general I think FIA did a disservice to all fans by not changing the formula earlier. They let that formula run for far too long, longer than any in history. It was clear that Mercedes just had the jump on everyone and for far too long. Cheers mate!22-03-2022 21:36

I thought the new formula would do away with one driver dominating. Can we stop using the word dominate? It's really silly in a sport that is defined by mere milliseconds, and in 2022 we shouldn't see anyone dominating. If Verstappen dominates, I'm not willing to watch another boring season of F1 where only one driver dominates. I want to see multiple drivers winning races and only the best of them wins the championship, but dominate, NO!13-03-2022 20:50
